Artist Recognition: Lewis Lavoie

Lewis Lavoie is an illustrator, artist and the inventor of the mural Mosaic concept. He was commissioned to create a mural for the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver. CBC featured Lavoie in a one hour documentary following the process of the mural. He has designed such murals for the Edmonton Centennial, the Alberta Centennial, The Wildlife Ark which raised thousands of dollars for wildlife conservation. The Le cadeau De Chevelle mural brought together renowned equine artists from around the globe. Lewis has performed hundreds of live painting s for such organizations as bioware and Pfizer and Was commissioned to paint for the Queen when she visited in 2005.
