Artist Recognition: Barbara Bernrieder

Barbara Bernrieder is a German artist, and her website is in German. Unfortunately for me, I don’t speak German, so using the translations on her website, and what I’ve seen on other websites would do.

According to her website, her artwork can best be classified as abstract paintings with layers of color overlaid one on top of the other to create an imaginary coordinate system. One of the techniques she uses is painting with the canvas on the floor and tilting it every now and again to influence the flow of the paint. Her use of various types of paints from acrylic to car paint adds to the unique quality of her work. Read the rest of this entry

На пороге нового модного сезона уже стоит задуматься о том, чем пополнить свой обувной шкафчик. Пусть за окном пока лежит снег, но мы уже мечтаем только о весне и стильных туфлях, босоножках и ботильонах, которые встретят вместе с нами теплое время года. Какую обувь выбрать?

Чем больше цвета, тем лучше – обувь сезона весна-лето 2012 радует позитивной цветовой гаммой. На босоножках Prada сверкают разноцветные языки пламени, туфли Casadei переливаются всеми оттенками неона, а босоножки Giuseppe Zanotti похожи на радугу. Если в одежде в сезоне весна-лето 2012 доминируют пастельные оттенки, то в обуви больше кричащих красок.
